We all have fears. Does money scare you?

Today I logged into the computer to find 120 people had jumped on board overnight. Partly due to our news.com.au article I am sure, but it shows there are so many people who are thinking about their money, but more importantly how they can be better with it.

Is money a fear for you? Often our fears stop us from achieving greatness, from doing what we have wanted to do or better yet not doing something at all.

The best part about it all, money doesn’t need to be scary. With the right mindset, knowledge and plan it can be liberating. Not only knowing you can pay your rent, bills and groceries on time. It’s also about indulging in the finer things, you know like avo on toast with a latte on Sunday or taking that well overdue overseas holiday without the financial stress that comes with it.

Snap out of the money fear, here are my top couple of tips to get you started on your journey to the new financial you:

1. Take the time to think about what you actually want to achieve financially – even if it is 5mins right now. Sit down and think about where you want to be, what you want to do and how influential money is in these decisions.

2. Take the first step in the right direction – you may already know what that is. If you have absolutely no idea, the best part is you can start for free with us! Try the Whole Money Approach, the first part of the program is on us.

3. Keep stock, review and reflect – I recommend every 6 months at least, just sitting down, seeing where you are at and being frank with yourself; I’m behind the 8 ball or I’m in front. Hopefully it’s the latter, but with the beauty of reflection you can see where you need to improve or how you can be better to achieve part 1 (where you want to be financially!).
